DOG-FIGHT TAG

Feel the thrill of any RAF pilot as we take to the skies in our 5-minute Battle of Britain!

Strap on your wings and put on your flying helmet and a belt of Velcro tags.

Try and grab the different tags to see if you got shot down or if you become an ace!

This is for 10 people at a time.

Our instructors are in period costume to add to the authentic feel of the experience.

These sessions run every half hour from 11am to 3.30pm at a typical event day of 10am to 4pm.

With 10 slots throughout the day, people can book onto any time slot. This reduces queues and potential complaints.

We suggest a minimum of £4 per person generating a maximum of £800 for a weekend.

VISIONS IN VINTAGE

– Why not get into the feel of the period with our photo booth? We have many costumes for you to dress up in with exciting props to create a permanent reminder of the day with our instant printing service.

Get the family in shot, pose and take the picture home with you!

Our team are in period costume to add to the authentic feel of the experience.

We suggest a minimum of £5 per group.

D-DAY EXPERIENCE

– An immersive experience like no other. Run out of the front of landing craft and across the obstacles on the beaches of Normandy to try and take the machine gun emplacement.
This is a NERF gun battle with a 10-a-side 10 minute per session fight.

One side has to reach the machine gun position and click tokens and the other has to get to the landing craft to blow them up by also clicking tokens. Whichever side has the most clicks at the end are the winners!

With beach obstacles made out of foam, it is a safe environment for all in the designated area with banners along each side displaying pictures of the beaches.

Our area is decked with flags of the invading forces on D-DAY.

Our instructors are in period costume to add to the authentic feel of the experience.

These sessions run every half hour from 11am to 3.30pm at a typical event day of 10am to 4pm.

With 10 slots throughout the day, people can book onto any time slot. This reduces queues and potential complaints.

Each person is given a period appropriate plastic helmet and a set of goggles for eye protection.

We suggest a minimum of £4 per person generating a maximum of £1600 for a weekend.

DRESSED FOR BATTLE!

We offer unique dressed for battle opportunities where the public can get fully kitted out in authentic replica equipment including full clothing and accessories.

We believe this to be the only portable immersive kit experience of its type in the UK.

Currently we offer Medieval Knights with full armour and World War 1 Soldier experiences.

Once kitted, participants may test authentic weapons against training stands.

Sessions last an hour. We advise pre-booking.

Over a typical event day of 10am – 4pm, we would offer 5 slots taking 2 people per session.

We suggest a minimum of £70 per person per session.

Scramble! and Formation Flying

These 2 immersive activities come as a package as we train as RAF Pilots! Our foam wings and replica equipment, undertake the basic training and dash to your aircraft in our exciting games!
Scramble! – There are 3 types of aircraft for 3 different pilots from 3 different eras with 3 people involved at once!

On hearing the word SCRAMBLE! get on your kit and dash to the aircraft to see who wins! These sessions run every 10 minutes from 10.30am to 3.40pm at a typical event day of 10am to 4pm.

With 31 slots throughout the day, people can book onto any time slot. This reduces queues and potential complaints.

We suggest a minimum of £3 per person.

Formation Flying – Strap on the wings and get into formation with our instructor and find out how to attack the oncoming enemy! There are 12 spaces per session!

These sessions run every 15 minutes from 10.30am to 3.45pm at a typical event day of 10am to 4pm.

With 25 slots throughout the day, people can book onto any time slot. This reduces queues and potential complaints.

We suggest a minimum of £3 per person.

Danger UXB! and Stop the Blitz!

These 2 immersive activities come as a package as we try and save the country from aerial attack! Using our replica bombs and our “burning” buildings, we tackle the problems using authentic techniques!

Danger UXB! – There are 3 types of ordnance to identify and clear with 6 items in all! We have 3 incendiary bombs, 2 butterfly bombs and 1 50kg bomb! You have 5 minutes of instruction and 5 minutes of clearing time! These sessions run every 15 minutes from 10.30am to 3.45pm at a typical event day of 10am to 4pm.

With 25 slots throughout the day, people can book onto any time slot. This reduces queues and potential complaints.

We suggest a ticket is for a family or family group. We suggest a minimum of £5 per group.

Stop the Blitz! – There are 4 “burning” houses to tackle with our stirrup pump and buckets! Use the water to knock the flames down and save the street!

This is a first come first serve offer meaning there will be a queue that we will work through as quickly as possible.

WORLD WAR ONE

HALF DAY
1. INTRO – Who Started the War? – From the shot that set Europe on the path to War! How did it all beginning. Let’s look at loyalties and alliances with our hats and flags!

2. Your Country Needs You!

• Dressed for Battle – What did a First World War soldier carry into battle? Let’s find out and dress up!
• Frightening Fights – It’s time to go over the top as we train as soldiers and go into battle to try and take a German position!
• War Horses! – What was it like to be a cavalryman in World War One? Find out how the horses went into battle…

3. ENDING – The Victoria Cross – It’s story time as we enact 2 of the most famous actions of Great Britain’s highest award for valour in the face of the enemy. A fast paced tale with props and actions!

VICTORIANS

HALF OR FULL DAY OPTIONS
1. INTRO – AN AGE OF INVENTION! (?) – It’s a big game of true or false with props as we see what the Victorians and the Industrial Revolution have in common…

2. The Thin Red Line

• Dressed for Battle – What did a Victorian soldier in the Crimean War wear and what did he carry on campaign?
• Frightening Fights – It’s the Crimean War and the Charge of the Light Brigade is about to happen! Train as soldiers and go into battle!
• The Lady with the Lamp – How did Florence Nightingale take on the challenge of saving the lives of the wounded soldiers? What was it like in the hospitals of the Crimea?

3. Severe School!
Join us in school for a session of writing and maths. Start with PE and learn the rules and ways of our classroom! If completed successfully it’s breaktime with our Victorian toys and games. Find out how to pass time in the past!

4. ENDING – The Gymkhana! – It’s test your horsemanship Victorian style from using a lance to using a sword to opening bottles from the saddle with a sword! Compete against each other in this exciting Victorian pastime and how it relates to the fields of battle!

WW2

HALF DAY ONLY
1. INTRO – The War in Europe – With hats, helmets and your pupils, we tell the story of WW2!

2. The Blitz – From bomb disposal to stirrup pump firefighting, from aircraft recognition to incendiary bomb hunts, could you survive the Blitz? A big round-robin of activities prepares you for a night on the Home Front!

3. On the front line! (available in full day format only) – find out how the soldiers, sailors and airmen trained in WW2 and what they carried into battle. Hands on artefacts and a round robin if activities.

4. ENDING – Assault course! – it’s a race against your classmates and against the clock, are you prepared?

TUDORS

HALF DAY ONLY
1. INTRO – Henry VIII and his six wives – The brief story of one of our most famous monarchs and his family!

2. The Trained band – With invasions likely in the reign of Henry and Elizabeth from the French, Scots and the Spanish; how did we prepare to meet the threat? From the soldiers to the sailors let’s find out! Train up and meet the enemies of England in battle!

3. “Off with her head!” – This session covers crime and punishment in Tudor England. From the executions of Henry VIII to the everyday crimes of ordinary people, find out how to deal out justice Tudor style!

4. ENDING – Banquets for Monarchs! – The Tudors loved their food and with the discovery of the New World and greater sea faring and exploration there could be some exotic dishes on the table! Find out what it would be like at a Tudor feast as we set the table, serve the food and entertain the monarch!

MEDIEVAL

HALF DAY ONLY
Our Medieval days can be tailored to your needs. We know that schools cover the Normans, King Richard III and Plague, Pestilence and Princes. Get in touch with us and we can provide what you need!

1. INTRO – Good, bad and mad! – Some of our most famous monarchs of the Medieval period.

2. Fighting Knights!
• Dressed for battle – arming a knight! Looking at what a knight wore into battle and the weapons he carried.
• Frightening Fights – We have 3 exciting battles to pick from depending on your focus! From Normans to the middle of the Middle Ages to the Battle of Bosworth and the end of the Medieval period.

3. Medicine, surgery and plague! – After the battle we need to deal with the wounded. Our surgeon though can also help with everyday ailments with some unusual cures… There is also the plague that comes and goes, how can we deal with that? Find out as we take a trip to the doctor’s Medieval style!

4. ENDING – Who’s top of the tournament? – One way to prove you were an amazing Knight was to test your skills against others! From sword fighting to jousting, let battle commence!

SAXONS AND VIKINGS

HALF OR FULL DAY OPTIONS
We know that some schools focus more on one part of the Dark Ages than the other, Saxons or Vikings. If that’s the case, let us know and we will tailor the sessions to suit!

1. INTRO – Dark Age Dates – introduction to the period with Kings and catastrophe throughout!

2. Wonderful Warriors!
• Dressed for Battle – The kit and weapons of a warrior!
• Soldiers and shields! – learn how to fight Dark Age style with our foam shields and swords. Once trained, it’s time to raid!

3. Longhouse Life and Crime and Punishment (AVAILABLE ON FULL DAY FORMAT ONLY!)
From law and order to everyday Dark Age jobs and chores! From the daily grind to dressing for the day, from fishing to fire building and much more!

4. ENDING – beowulf – join the Skald for a saga as we act out the famous tail! Crime and Punishment, how did the Saxons and Vikings maintain law and order? Let’s find out who’s guilty and how they will be punished…

ROMANS

HALF OR FULL DAY OPTIONS
1. INTRO – KNOW YOUR ENEMY! – Who were the Romans fighting when they came to Britain? Let’s have a look at the Celts!

2. Join the legion!
• Dressed for Battle – What did the Romans wear into battle and what did they carry on campaign? find out with hands on artefacts and a round robin of activities
• Soldiers and Shields – using our foam swords and shields, we’ll train you up as Roman soldiers and see if we can defeat Boudicca!

3. Build the Camp! (AVAILABLE ON FULL DAY FORMAT ONLY!)
The Romans were known for their incredible buildings across Europe and beyond. We look at how they did it by building our mini fort, the basis of some of our most famous towns and cities. What went on in the buildings? Let’s visit them…

4. ENDING – Loyalty to the Legion??? – Let’s see what the punishments in the Roman army were like. Then it’s time to find out what we’ve discovered today using our catapult…
